Alexsis Buckmeier

Owner Alexsis Buckmeier officially began work at Columbia Basin Sheet Metal in 2019 part time while attending college majoring in Business and Finance Management. She too worked her way up the ladder starting as a filing assistant, moving to bookkeeper, accounts manager, and eventually office manager.

Those are all just titles though. During that period, she also spent time on the job and in the shop learning the other sides of the business. She became the lead custom metal fabricator, the truck driver, and learned the ins and outs of roofing and sheet metal installation.

Alexsis plans to continue working with her dad, expanding her practical knowledge of the industry, and has future hopes of carrying on the business along with its values as her dad had hoped when he decides to retire. She also hopes to someday share this legacy with her younger brother.

About Our Owners

Steve Buckmeier

Owner Steve Buckmeier has been working in the roofing and sheet metal industry for over 30 years and had been working in other construction related industries prior to that.

He started at the bottom and quickly moved up the ladder to journeyman, foreman, project manager, and later superintendent where he stayed for a long time until the owner of the company that he was working for at the time decided to retire, shutting the company down.

This was a turning point in his career. He made the decision to take all of his on-the-job knowledge, experience, and skills and put them to use starting a company of his own, Columbia Basin Sheet Metal. The grand opening being in May of 2015.

With hopes that someday he would be able to pass it down to his kids, he built this company from the ground up, building relationships, putting clients first, outperforming his competition, and putting in the time and effort to establish the impressive reputation that Columbia Basin Sheet Metal now has.

About Our Crew

Our team consists of manufacturer-trained foremen, journeymen and apprentices that have received the highest level of industry experience and training. They are a very well-rounded group of professionals who are equally as committed to providing our clients with outstanding service and workmanship as our owners are.

Our team is of the utmost value to us, as we know that a lot of what we do would not be possible without a crew as hard working and as dedicated to community success as they are.

At Columbia Basin Sheet Metal, we are a family. Being on the smaller side of businesses in the construction industry, our team has learned, grown, and overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles together, which has built an immense team atmosphere.
